Under low nitrogen stress, compared to ZQ22, KL18 can increase root length and lateral root number by increasing the expression of root growth and development related genes NLP1, NLP2, SAUR32, and IAA25, and promote elongation of elongation zone cells, thereby altering root structure to increase nitrogen absorption capacity.
