in vivo restoration of aged bone marrow mononuclear cells by microRNA: effect on cellular aging Treatment groups were (1) no microRNA, (2) microRNA-619 (miR-619), (3) a combination of microRNAs-619, -1303, 4497 (miR-combo), or (4) a control microRNA expected to have no effect (control RNA) Female NSG mice were humanized (huNSG) with mobilized bone marrow mononuclear cells from aged donors. Prior to humanization, cells were transfected with specific microRNAs to partially reprogram the hematopoietic cells towards a young phenotype.
