Root and shoot whole metagenome of Ocimum sanctum

In this study, we aimed to investigate the impact of L. irui endophyte treatment on the metagenomics of shoot and root tissues in a controlled environment. The experiment involved a controlled group without endophyte treatment to serve as the baseline (control condition). For the treatment group, shoot and root tissues were inoculated with L. irui. Both control and treated samples were subjected to whole metagenomic analysis to explore the microbial community composition and functional potential. This design allows us to discern the specific effects of L. irui on the plant-associated microbiota under standardized conditions, providing valuable insights into the interactions between the endophyte and the plant's metagenome.
