VPRS 1756 College Council Minutes

The series consists of the minutes and agenda of the Emily McPherson College Council. It provides the primary record of major Council decisions and College activities. The minutes cease in 1979 when the College amalgamated with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.Council minutes were maintained in several formats. The formal or official minutes (and meeting papers) were bound in volumes. These are in custody for the period 1911 to 1979. At some stage, possibly from 1976, minutes were also maintained by (or on behalf of) individual staff members, in files labelled with the persons name. A number of these are in custody for the period 1977 to 1979. Overall, the series provides a comprehensive record of the activities of the College Council.
