This project aimed to sequence Candida glabrata hospital isolates that are resistant to echinocandins. From September 2016 till May 2018, only one Candida glabrata isolate that was resistant to the echinocandin micafungin alongside being intrinsically resistant to fluconazole was detected in our tertiary care center. This isolate was sequenced in order to identify mutations that might be involved in antifungal resistance; mainly echinocandin resistance.
