G2435R-RYR1 Mouse baseline data

G2435R-RYR1 mice are a model for human malignant hyperthermia (MH), a genetic condition which results in hypermetabolic reactions. To investigate differential gene expression in MH susceptible muscle, an RNAseq was conducted on mRNA extracted from mouse soleus muscles. Differential gene expression was investigated at baseline comparing wild-type, G2435R-RYR1 HET, G2435R-RYR1 HOM and T4826I-RYR1 HET mice. Gene expression levels in metabolic pathways and mitochondria are of interest as evidence of metabolic defects have previously been shown in MH susceptible skeletal muscle.
