Azimuthally averaged mass distributions from the EAGLE-50 SIDM simulations

This data was generated for the paper "Jeans Model for Self-interacting Dark Matter Halo Shapes", from post-processing the EAGLE-50 SIDM simulations that were first described here. These simulation took the EAGLE model of galaxy formation, and re-ran 50 Mpc cubic volumes with 3 different dark matter models: cold dark matter (CDM), self-interacting dark matter with a cross-section of 1 cm^2/g (SIDM1), and self-interacting dark matter with a velocity-dependent cross-section (vdSIDM). Note that the simulation names (CDMb, SIDM1b, vdSIDMb) reflect the fact that the data came from the runs with baryons, as opposed to the dark matter only equivalents. For each dark matter model there are three files. The sphericallyAveraged_density_profiles files contain the spherically-averaged density as a function of radius; the axisymmetric_shape_profiles files contain the 2D axis ratios as a function of radius; and the cylindrical_density_and_potential files contain the azimuthally averaged density as a function of R and z, with the z-axis chosen as the direction of the angular momentum vector of the stars in the simulated galaxy.
