Global value chain participation - EU perspective (FIGARO application)

<p> Global value chain participation is defined as the sum of backward and forward participation. The backward participation is calculated as a share of foreign (non-EU) value added in EU exports. The forward participation is calculated as the domestic value added generated in the EU by non-EU economies’ exports, and it is also measured as a share of EU exports.</p>
