Curcumin Mitigates High Fat High Sugar Diet Induced Impairment of Spatial Memory and Metabolic Function and Alteration of Gut microbiome in 3xTg AD Mice

This study aimed to acess the protective effects of curcumin, a bioactive flavonoid from turmeric, on spatial memory, metabolic functions, and the regulation of the gut microbiome in 3xTg AD mice fed with either normal chow diet, or high fat high sugar diet. Our findings revealed an augmented susceptibility of HFHSD fed 3xTg AD mice to weight gain and memory impairment, while curcumin supplementation demonstrated a protective effect against these changes
