In the present study, by calculating the electron bounce-averaged pitch angle diffusion coefficients with kappa plasma dispersion relations, we investigate the sensitivity of hiss-induced cyclotron-resonant electron scattering loss to the spectral index <i>κ</i> under a variety of superthermal plasma conditions.
