In The process of our comprehensive mapping of the genomic loci governing the production of antioxidants in sorghum, we identified a posteriori genes harboring major effect marker. All genes involved in polyphenols metabolic pathway were considered 'a priori' candidates, including those genes that were reported in previous works. Regardless of their annotation and putative function, all genes containing a significant marker within their sequence were considered 'a posteriori' candidates.
