This dataset was produced to elucidate region-specific and geographically driven changes in relative humidity in the Hengduan Mountains. Expert knowledge of regional geographically driven change is still limited. To improve the understanding of the mechanism of RH formation in the Hengduan Mountains of China, we conducted this study. RH data are derived from ERA5 reanalysis and MODIS total precipitable vapor products. The spatiotemporal distribution of high RH was analyzed at regional and local scales, with a particular focus on the effects of monsoon-induced effects. The above data are the main data of the unpublished manuscript <i>"Unraveling regional geo-driven variations in relative humidity based on MODIS and ERA5 data over the Hengduan Mountains, China"</i>. Some data in this paper have not been released due to their status as patented data.
