LGBTQ Europe: Rainbow Europe score for rights of LGBTI people in Netherlands 2024

The Netherlands was placed 13th out of 48 European countries in Rainbow Europe's annual LGBTI rights ranking for 2024, with the country receiving an overall score of 58.95 percent. The country performs well on civil society space, family rights, and equality & non-discrimination, while doing less well on asylum rights for LGBTI people and gender recognition laws for transgender people. The Netherlands performs poorly on hate crime & hate speech, as well as on intersex bodily integrity, for which it has little or no legal protections.
