VPRS 19403 Animal House Management Committee Minutes

This series comprises a volume recording the meeting minutes of the Animal House Management Committee of Prince Henry's Hospital (VA 441). It was decided at the first meeting, held on 1 June 1977, that the committee would concentrate on matters concerning the future management, planning and development of the Animal House in line with its responsibilities to the Board. Business reported on in committee meetings included: the role of users of the Animal House, financial costs, the Protection of Animals Act, animal experimentation, the housing and storage of animals, Animal House staffing, ethical considerations in Animal House use, and security arrangements. The Minutes of Sundry Committees (VPRS 19367) record a discussion about the Animal House on 27 June 1968. The same volume records the minutes of a meeting of the Animal House Consultative Committee that took place on 7 June 1973.
