Hydrodynamic and Thermohaline Dataset from the Gulf of Oristano (Western Mediterranean)

This dataset provides high-frequency oceanographic observations collected in the Gulf of Oristano (western Sardinia, Mediterranean Sea) over a full annual cycle (2023–2024), aimed at investigating wind-driven coastal circulation and subsurface ventilation processes. It comprises in situ measurements of hydrodynamic and thermohaline properties, including current velocities, water temperature, salinity and density, wave parameters and water level. These observations capture the temporal and spatial variability of the system and support the analysis of wind-driven ventilation dynamics in a shallow coastal environment.
