This study investigates the transcriptomic response of oral bacterial species to biofilm growth on titanium-copper (Ti-5Cu) alloy surfaces. Using RNA sequencing, we analyzed gene expression profiles of Streptococcus oralis, Actinomyces naeslundii, and Neisseria mucosa cultured as biofilms on Ti-5Cu and conventional titanium (Ti) surfaces. To enable comparison with surface-associated gene expression, planktonic cultures grown under equivalent conditions were included as controls. The dataset provides insight into how copper incorporation influences bacterial gene regulation, biofilm adaptation, and stress responses, with implications for the development of antimicrobial dental implant materials.
