Here we report complete genome and methylome analysis of Paenibacillus polymyxa strain 2020. This strain was isolated from wasp honeycombs with subsequent selection based on natural selection in 2019 at the Department of Biotechnology, Bioengineering and Biochemistry of the National Research Mordovia State University, Saransk, Russia. The strain is a producer of Levan polysaccharide.
