The “Database on downscaled biodiversity targets” was developed as deliverable D1.3 of the Horizon Europe project RAINFOREST (Co-produced transformative knowledge to accelerate change for biodiversity). It provides values for the country area as well as the area and fraction of area under protection and under strict protection. Target 7 (File: “Downscaling_KMGBF_target_7.csv”) The file contains the data for the downscaling scenarios in the context of KMGBF Target 7. It provides values for the area harvested, the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE), the nitrogen surplus, as well as the current feed use share and the reduced (to a maximum of 15%) feed use share for different crop groups. Target 16 (File: “Downscaling_KMGBF_target_16.csv”) The file contains the data for the downscaling scenarios in the context of KMGBF Target 16. It provides values for cropland area footprints of food consumption, along with the assumed caloric food supply and estimates of the biodiversity impacts due to cropland use.
