资源简介:
Published daily except Mondays from 1950 to 2020, the Barbados Advocate was initially established in 1895 in Fontabelle, Saint Michael as a means of sharing local and international news, with a focus on occurrences with the Lesser Antilles and the broader British Empire. The paper included sections for business, sports, and commentary pieces as well. Originally published by the Advocate Co., the paper came under the ownership of Advocate Publishers Inc. in 2000 with Anthony T. Bryan as publisher, the first Black publisher in the paper's history. In addition, the paper was alternatively published as the Sunday Advocate on Sundays for a brief period of time during the 1950's. The paper was written in English.
