Early gut microbiota in feeding intolerance of Very Low and Extremely Low Birth Weight Preterm Infants: A prospective case-control study

n this observational case-control study, VLBW/ELBW infants were divided into two groups: infants were consistent with FI(FI group); infants with feeding tolerance(FT group). Faecal samples were collected at birth every 7 days for 28 days, and 16S rRNA gene sequence was used to analyze the microbial diversity, relative abundances and composition. We compared the differences of gut microbiota in preterm infants between two groups.
