Dataset of raw samples from the GNSS PolaRx5S receiver in Malindi referring to the ionospheric scintillation event recorded by satellite G26 on 18 March 2023

This dataset contains 50 Hz samples of signal phase and in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) components of a GNSS signal acquired from a Septentrio PolaRx5S receiver located at the Broglio Space Centre (Lat: -3°, Lon: 40.2°) in Malindi, Kenya and installed under a framework agreement between the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) within the NORISK (New Observatory for Real-time Ionospheric Sounding over Kenya) project. In particular the dataset contains the samples for the GPS satellite 26, acquired between 2023-03-18 15:59:59 and 2023-03-18 23:56:31 for two different frequencies: GPS-L1 (1.5754 GHz) and GPS-L2 (1.2276 GHz). Within this time-interval, the received signal was subject to ionospheric scintillation due to small-scale irregularities embedded in an Equatorial Plasma Bubble over the Malindi area. The data are grouped in 2 separate ASCII text files containing the tabular data log for frequency L1 (file "data_f1.txt") and L2 (file "data_f2.txt").
