Genomics resources play an important role in forest genetic improvment. Larix, a deciduous conifer genus of the Pinaceae, is an important part of world forest resourse and a major timber trees of plantation ,Yet, few sequence information of larix available in public databases, hindered the application of genomics-assisted breeding approaches. We used 454 GS FLX Titanium pyrosequencer to produce larch's Unigenes, and conducted molecular marker mining.
