The aim of this investigation was to assess the bacterial and eukaryotic diversity in hot drinking water circulation system's biofilms in apartment houses in Riga, Latvia. DNA was extracted from biofilms of pipes that were collected during repair work. rDNA amplicons were generated according to Illumina 16S Metagenomic Sequencing LibraryPreparation guide (Part # 15044223 Rev. B) with the recommended primer sequences for bacterial 16S and with primers 574*f and 1132r from Hugerth et al. (2014, with corrections) publication for 18S.
