RNA sequencing of eyeballs from the B6Cg-Oca2<p-cas>/1Nga and B6Cg-Oca2<p-cas>/2Nga strains of pink-eyed dilution castaneus mutant mice

B6Cg-Oca2/1Nga (called PINK) and B6Cg-Oca2/2Nga (BLACK) are inbred mouse strains with the same Oca2 gene on the C57BL/6JJcl genetic background. B6Cg-Oca2/1Nga mice have pink eyes and gray coats. B6Cg-Oca2/2Nga mice have pink eyes and gray coats, but darker eyes and coats with age. Eyeballs from three male mice per strain were obtained during the anagen phase of the first and third hair cycles. RNA sequencing was performed on the eyeballs obtained.
