The present disclosure relates to a chainsaw (1) comprising a housing (3)， a guide bar (5)， projecting from the housing (3)， and one or more handles (9). The guide bar (5) has a main direction of extension (15) defined by its center-line. The housing comprises an outer shell (3) made of plastic， which has at least a first (23) outer groove filled with a contrasting plastic material， wherein the groove at least partly extends straight in a transverse direction (17) that deviates less than 3 degrees from a direction perpendicular to the main direction (15) of extension of the guide bar (5). This provides an indication that facilitates precise and safe felling of trees.
