RNAseq of untreated and SCP-DES treated U251 cells

The crude extract of the Chinese herbal medicine Acorus tatarinowii (SCP-DES) primarily contains alpha-Asarone and beta-Asarone. Alpha-Asarone has strong central nervous system sedative and anticonvulsant effects, and it also exhibits effective activities such as anticancer, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiepileptic properties. Beta-Asarone possesses immunosuppressive, central nervous system depressant, sedative, and antipyretic effects. Beta-Asarone can prevent Parkinson's disease. To elucidate the molecular mechanism by which the crude extract of Acorus tatarinowii (SCP-DES) inhibits the growth of gliomas, we conducted RNA sequencing to study the effect of this extract on U251 cell transcripts.
