Opuntia ficus-indica plants with and without thickening symptoms were analyzed. Soil, rhizosphere, root endosphere, calodode endosphere and cladode phyllosphere samples were collected under two climatic conditions, during the rainy and dry seasons. Total DNA was obtained from all samples and the V3-V4 region of 16S rRNA gene was sequenced.
