资源简介:
Genomic surveillance of Rift Valley fever virus in East Africa (Kenya, Burundi and Rwanda) using archived isolates and syndromic surveillance samples from human and livestock collected between 2007 and 2022. Rift Valley fever is a climate-driven mosquito-borne disease endemic in Africa. The disease leads to high mortality and morbidity in both humans and livestock, and is responsible for huge economic losses to farmers who depend on livestock for their livelihoods. Genome sequencing in viral outbreaks is desirable in order to characterize the infectious agent to determine its evolutionary rate, signatures of host adaptation, identification and monitoring of diagnostic targets and responses to vaccines and treatments. Here, we present raw sequence data from archived and syndromic surveillance samples collected between 2007 and 2022 in three East African countries (Kenya, Burundi and Rwanda).
