EOS-RS Flood Proxy Map: Tampa Bay, Florida, USA, Hurricane Helene Floods, 26 Sep 2024

The Earth Observatory of Singapore - Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS) created this preliminary Flood Proxy Map (FPM) depicting areas that are likely flooded in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA due to heavy rainfall and storm surges from Hurricane Helene on 26 Sep 2024. This map was derived from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellite operated by the European Space Agency (ESA) before (29 Jan 2024 to 14 Sep 2024) and during (26 Sep 2024) the event.
