资源简介:
Our research model investigates the following hypotheses: H1. Sustainable event management practices positively impact visit intention through increased environmental self-efficacy. H2. Sustainable event management practices positively impact word-of-mouth intention through increased environmental self-efficacy. H3. Environmental consciousness moderates the mediating effect of sustainable event management practices on visit intention, such that the influence of waste management practices on environmental self-efficacy and visit intention is stronger among individuals with higher levels of environmental consciousness. H4. Environmental consciousness moderates the mediating effect of sustainable event management practices on word-of-mouth intention, such that the influence of waste management practices on environmental self-efficacy and word-of-mouth intention is stronger among individuals with higher levels of environmental consciousness. We exposed participants to information provided in an event folder featuring waste management practices in a controlled experiment integrated into a web survey (one-factor (two-level) between-subjects design; in the experimental condition, participants were informed about waste management practices, whereas the information was absent in the control condition). The sample of 319 participants (61% female; with a mean age of 39.18 years, SD = 12.25) was obtained via the online platform clickworker.com for a small renumeration for participation. Our research framework was estimated with two moderated mediation models (Model 7, PROCESS, 5.000 bootstrapping samples) with waste management as an independent variable (0 = absence of event waste management, 1 = presence of event waste management), environmental self-efficacy as the mediating variable, environmental consciousness as moderating variable, and word-of-mouth intention and visit intention as dependent variables for the two models. Attitude toward recycling was included as covariate.
