DATA_Comparing disgust sensitivity in women in early pregnancy and non-pregnant women in the follicular and luteal phases of the menstrual cycle

This dataset contains data from pregnant women and non-pregnant women in different phases of the menstrual cycle. Data from pregnant women were collected during their first-trimester screening, around the 10th gestational week. Data from non-pregnant women were collected during their regular gynecological check-up and the cycle phase was determined by the gynecologist via ultrasound. Further data that were collected were: age, gestation age (only for the pregnant group), parity (only for the pregnant group), education, place of residence, income and data from the Disgust Scale-Revised (DS-R), the Three Domains of Disgust Scale (TDDS) and the Culpepper Disgust Image Set (C-DIS; only for the non-pregnant group).
We analyzed how disgust sensitivity differed between pregnant and non-pregnant women, among non-pregnant women depending on cycle phase and finally between all three groups (follicular phase, luteal phase, pregnant).
