EVOLUTIONARY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LEGISLATION OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN THE MODERN ERA

This article provides a complex analysis of the evolution of the modern legislation of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the primary factors influencing its formation. The study examines the historical development of the Chinese legal system, the leading role of the Communist Party in defining legal policy, and normative-legal changes in the fields of state security, anti-corruption, counter-terrorism measures, administrative reforms, and social policy. The paper demonstrates that despite the priority of the power factor and certain aspects of repressive criminal-legal mechanisms in Chinese legislation, there are nascent tendencies aimed at the liberalization of procedural law and specific social institutions. The primary objective of the article is to identify the evolutionary development characteristics of contemporary Chinese legislation, analyze its formation mechanisms in response to internal and external threats, and reveal the unique aspects of the Chinese legal model. The results of the research serve to identify opportunities for utilizing the Chinese experience within the framework of comparative jurisprudence.
