Gene Expression Profiling of livers in an NASH Mouse Model

We used microarray to study the global transcriptomic changes in the livers of SIRT7 KO mice, which develop spontaneous nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Total RNA was isolated from the livers of wild type and SIRT7 KO mice using an RNA isolation kit (Qiagen). Microarray hybridizations were performed at the University of California, Berkeley Functional Genomics. Laboratory using Affymetrix GeneChip mouse 430As according to the instructions of the manufacturer (Affymetrix).
