Basic DLM

In addition to other DLM and other digital data systems (DTK, DGM, DOP), the basic DLM is part of the Official Topographic Cartographic Information System (ATKIS). Digital landscape models (DLM) model the landscape in an object-structured vector form. Characteristic of the DL; is the scale-free, true-to-scale modelling of the point-, line- and surface-shaped objects, which completely cover the entire area of Baden-Württemberg. The DLM can be transferred to the Digital Topographic Map (DTK) using appropriate procedures (generalization, signature). A simple visualisation for technical applications in scale 1 : 5 000 to 1 : 10,000 is enough for a generalization. Coordinate dimension: 2D (no absolute altitude information), units of plane coordinates: Meters. Real world (landscape) is modeled by means of objects (point, line, area).
