The experiment used 45 devices (smartphones, Ubuntu, and Windows OS) to create network traffic. Three bots were developed and deployed on 25 devices, while 20 devices generated legitimate traffic. During the botnet attack orchestration, a total of 1,00,650 packets were captured by the network traffic analyzer from 45 devices.
