Cottonseed protein concentrate as an effective substitute to fishmeal in pike perch (Sander luciperca) feed : Evidence from growth performance, intestinal responses of immune function and microflora

this study systematically investigated the intestinal response characteristic of immune function and microflora on CPC as a fishmeal alternative in the pikeperch. The present study on pikrperch showed that the 60% ratio of dietary CPC replacing fishmeal showed a higher application potential in comparison with 20% and 40% as evidenced by optimal growth performance, stronger intestinal antioxidant capacity, healthier intestinal morphology and solider intestinal mechanical barrier, although the above indices in 60% substitution group were still weaker than the control group.
