We identified a differential enrichment of TET-medaited 5hmC in human enterocyte (Caco2BBE1 cells) upon infection with salmonella typhimurium. Genes enriched with 5hmC are involved in Wnt and Notch signaling pathways. To investigate the role of DNA methylation in the response to challenege like bacteria infection. We infect the Caco2BBE1 cells with salmonella typhimurium and harvest after 3 hours.
