Draft Genome Sequence of Halomonas stevensii Strain BS235 Isolated from hyper saline lakes from Brazilian Pantanal

Alternative to synthetic surfactants has driven research towards biotechnologies for biosurfactant production. Microorganisms metabolism offers a promising source of tools for capturing and utilizing CO2. We sequenced the Halomonas stevensii Strain BS235 genome from a hypersaline alkaline lake to uncover genes related to CO2 metabolism and biosurfactant production.
