Genomic and biological featuring of two Metarhizium species that can produce dimorphic conidia

Two species of the insect pathogenic fungi, i.e., Metarhizium guniujiangensis and Metarhizium cylindrosporum, can produce dimorphic conidia on conidiophores. To determine the potential mechanism involved in fungal conidiation control, the genomes of the M. guniujiangensis RCEF 0880 strain and M. cylindrosporum RCEF 6700 strain were sequenced with the combination techniques of Illumina and PacBio.
