These registers contain a record of all the Pre-emptive leases in the Land District of Albury, kept by the Albury Lands Office.These registers record information such as name and address of leasee, number of lease, date of notification in the Gazette, county and parish, the area, the annual rent, the amount of rent paid, and the period for which the rent is paid, the date of payment, and the folio number of the lease application register, as well as any other remarks.These registers are divided into sections for pre-emptive leases, defined pre-emptive leases, undefined pre-emptive leases and auction leases.The pre-emptive leases cover numbers 1875/9 – 1884/54 for the period 12/09/1878 – 30/09/1885.The defined pre-emptive leases cover number 1865/8 – 1880/11 for the period 16/09/1878 – 30/09/1884.The undefined pre-emptive leases cover numbers 1866/6 – 1879/5 for the period 12/09/1878 – 30/09/1884.The auction leases cover numbers 1880/521 – 1884/949 for the period 25/09/1881 – 30/09/1884.
