In this study, we investigated antifungal activities of ethanol extracts of 6 traditional Chinese medicinal plants against Rhizoctonia solani, Botrytis cinerea, Alternaria alternata and Fusarium oxysporum. Ethanol extract of Piper longum Linn. indicated the best antifugal activity against several tested strains. We isolated it using Bioactivity- guided fractionation method and got isolated compound F2-2 and identified it as piperine by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and HRMS. The EC50 values of piperine against R. solani, B. cinerea, A.alternata and F. oxysporum were 74.32, 58.26, 47.27 and 89.91 μg·mL-1, respectively.
