This study examines the contribution of spatial abilities by analyzing task-based performance across 201 participants. Using scores from four spatial tasks: mental rotation, embedded figures, spatial scaling, and spatial perspective-taking.Cognitive mapping performance was evaluated via virtual navigation tasks including route repetition, landmark placement, and wayfinding. Interaction terms between visuospatial working memory and each spatial abilities were computed to see moderating effects. Additional variables such as sense of direction, Raven’s matrices scores, navigation strategies, and exploration frequency were also consider regarding individual differences in spatial cognition.
