Inbound tourist expenditure in Italy 2007-2023

The expenditure of international tourists in Italy increased significantly in 2023 over the previous year, exceeding the figures recorded before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, total inbound tourism spending, including overnight and same-day visitors, peaked at 51.7 billion euros in 2023.
