Land Use Analysis For Agricultural Policy Assessment

The farm survey data was used in estimating technical coefficients of crop production activities and other parameters used in the optimization models developed at the farm household, municipal and provincial scales. The optimization models at different scales were used to analyze ex-ante the potentials of new agro-technologies and the effect of agricultural policies such as attainment of food self-sufficiency goals, liberalization of prices, and infrastructure improvements on income, food production, resource use and environmental indicators.
