Data and Study Characteristics: Cognitive Biases in Contemporary Dietary Behaviour and Nutritional Guidance: A Focused Narrative Overview.

This dataset accompanies a focused narrative overview of cognitive biases in dietary behaviour and nutritional guidance. It contains the study-level extraction data for the 14 primary studies included in the focused synthesis of health halo, illusory truth and social proof, together with descriptive characteristics calculated from the final study corpus. The review examines consumer and professional/system-level evidence, including evidence concerning meat and other animal-source foods. The dataset accompanies the prospectively deposited study protocol (Protogerou & Leroy, 2026; DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.22283422).
