Subset of ENSO (ONI) and IOD (DMI) Indices for Urban Water Balance Analysis in Tangerang (2012–2021)

This dataset supports the study on decadal variability of urban water balance in Tangerang City, Indonesia, under the influence of large-scale climate variability. It contains climate indices and processed data used to analyse the relationship between ENSO–IOD forcing and hydrological conditions. The dataset includes: Oceanic Niño Index (ONI) obtained from NOAA, representing ENSO variability. Dipole Mode Index (DMI) obtained from JAMSTEC, representing the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD). Processed subset (2012–2021) used in the study, aligned with monthly urban water balance analysis. The ONI and DMI datasets are provided in CSV format and cover a longer temporal range, while the subset corresponds specifically to the study period (2012–2021). The data were used to classify climate phases (El Niño, La Niña, Neutral; Positive, Negative, Neutral) and to examine their influence on rainfall variability, evapotranspiration, and water balance components. This dataset enables reproducibility of the analysis presented in the associated study and may be reused for climate–hydrology assessments in urban tropical regions.
