ESCOLAR A Multimodal Wearable Dataset of Physiological Measures for Ecological Stress and Cognitive Load in Academic Scenarios

This dataset, named ESCOLAR, is a multimodal physiological dataset focused on the response to academic stress and cognitive load. The resource integrates two complementary domains: social stress in a naturalistic environment (n=17 graduate students in real academic presentations) and controlled cognitive load (n=9 undergraduate students in programming tasks). Using the EmotiBit wearable sensor, signals of Photoplethysmography (PPG), Electrodermal Activity (EDA), peripheral temperature, and inertial movement (IMU) were captured, consolidating over 1.2 million synchronized instances. The dataset integrates detailed self-reports and demographic data. This repository also includes Python scripts and processing pipelines to ensure the reproducibility of the Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models presented in the associated research.
