Windmill Islands Long Term Vegetation Monitoring

This record contains vegetation cover/health data analysed from the digital photographs collected for the Windmill Islands long term vegetation monitoring program, conducted between 2003 and 2014, under projects ASAC_1313, AAS_3042 and AAS_4046.

Baseline survey was described in Metadata ID ASAC_1313_Transects_2002-03; five and 10 year surveys described in ASAC_1313_Transects_2007-08 and AAS_4046_Transects_2012-13, respectively.

File contains the following fields:
Name = Format XYYYY_#C where X is A (for ASPA 135) or R (for Robinson Ridge), YYYY is year, # is transect number, and C is B (for Bryophyte community) or T (Transitional community).
Year = year of sampling (2003, 2008, 2012 or 2013)
Site = site of sampling (ASPA 135 or Robinson Ridge)
Community = Bryophyte or Transitional (NB: Lichen community not analysed here)
Quadrat = transect/quadrat number (1-10)
%HealthyMoss = Percent cover of Healthy (green) moss
%StressedMoss = Percent cover of Stressed (red) moss
%MoribundMoss = Percent cover of Moribund (brown-grey-black) moss
%Macrolichen = Percent cover of Macrolichens
%Crustose = Percent cover of Crustose lichens
%Rock = Percent cover of Rock
%Snow = Percent cover of Snow
%Water = Percent cover of Water
%Shadow = Percent cover of Shadow
%Lichens = Percent cover of Lichens (ie. Macrolichen + Crustose)
%Other = Percent cover of non-vegetation categories (ie. Rock + Snow + Water + Shadow)
