Navigating Trade-offs: Energy Dependency, Geopolitical Shocks, and Sustainability in European Parliamentary Debates

This collection contains data and code for research on energy security and sustainability in European parliamentary debates (2014-2022). The study analyzes parliamentary debate data from the ParlaMint project to understand how the Russia-Ukraine conflict and national energy dependency shaped political discussions. The ParlaMint data, covering 16 European countries, was processed and merged using Python scripts. BERTopic topic modeling was used for analysis. The collection includes the merged ParlaMint parliamentary debate dataset (.csv), Python analysis scripts (.ipynb), and derived outputs like .csv files and figures.
