During obesity progression differential expression of microRNAs (miRs) play a role in effector (Teff) functions. A set of high fat diet adipose tissue derived immune cell miRs shows profound upregulation or downregulation in the expression profile as compared to normal diet. our preliminary data indicates that high fat diet down-regulates adipose resident T cell miRs-10a, -125b, and -1247 and suggesting that mimicking these miRs might be of therapeutics for the obesity and metabolic syndrome.
